VE Day 75th Anniversary
We hope that everyone enjoyed celebrating on Friday 8th May which marked the 75th anniversary of VE (Victory in Europe) Day, the end of fighting in Europe towards the end of World War 2. The Year 2 staff marked the day in different ways.
Miss Knott had a video chat with her family to join together in a celebration to honour her Grandad and Nana who were both involved in the war. Eileen Knott was a parachute packer and Albert Knott was in No. 3 Commando, 1st Special Service Brigade.
Miss Kenyon took her daily exercise around her village to see how people were celebrating VE Day in different ways.
Mrs Waite had a very successful morning baking in the kitchen and she enjoyed eating a slice of her pie as part of afternoon tea.
Mrs Johnson put up decorations and enjoyed a street party with her neighbours.
