Our Visit To Twycross Zoo
We all had a wonderful time last week at the zoo. It was an uneventful coach trip but our arrival at the zoo was met with great excitement and anticipation by the children. Despite the cold, blustery conditions, we managed to see most of the animals and we learnt lots about their eating habits from the workshop. The children were an absolute credit to Wyken Croft in terms of their behaviour, engagement and enthusiasm. We were so proud of them!
The snow leopard having a snooze.
Why do you think zebras have stripes?
The majestic giraffes - one of our favourites.
We loved listening to the gibbons sing.
Finally we learnt all about how animals’ teeth have adapted according to their diet. What do you think this animal is? A carnivore, herbivore or omnivore? Why?
