Our trip to Hatton Locks

We all had a great time this week at Hatton Locks. The wonderful volunteers taught us how canals were built in the past and present, what life was like on a working narrow boat in the 1930’s and took us on a fun walk around the locks. We loved learning how the locks open and what happens to the water to enable the boats to travel safely. The children were super ambassadors for Wyken Croft and we are all very proud of them.
