New spelling books

We hope the children are enjoying using their new spelling books to practise their spellings at home. Please make sure they bring them to school each Friday!

Dear Parents/Carers,

At Wyken Croft, we are always looking for ways to improve children’s learning. Recently, we have been looking at the impact of the way children currently practice their spellings on their writing. We feel that it would be of more benefit for the children to practice their spellings through interactive games and activities. At the front of your child’s spelling book, there is a bank of games you might like to play along with any other lovely ideas you might have of your own. Please use the spelling books for any written work your child does.

 If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to speak to your child’s class teacher.
