Nation Space Centre Visit

In February, the National Space Centre visited Year 5 with their star dome. We had the opportunity to see the constellations in the night sky and learn how to you use the North star to navigate.

We also designed our own paper rockets before launching them to the moon (or at least a model of the moon!), During the day, we used a rounders post to create our own sun dial on the school playground and we were able to use this to explain why the sun appears to move across the sky.
