A fantastic week's work
Well done to all of Year 6 for your hard work this week!
We have learnt all about how the events after World War 1 led to the start of World War 2. We loved the way you chose to present your work in your topic books - a great start and some superb presentation.
In English, you have experimented superbly with different sentence types and linking ideas using coordinating and subordinating conjunctions. Your paragraphs about Olive in the hospital following the explosion were particular standouts!
In maths, we were all so impressed with your place value knowledge and your reasoning explanations are some of the best and most detailed we’ve ever seen; with lots of you explaining your answers both in sentences and with pictorial representations!
Congratulations to all of the children who earned their pens this week. Mrs Franklin was delighted with your effort and care - I don’t think we’ve ever given out so many at once. Aim for a fountain pen next!
Well done to our achievement award winners this week: Melissa, Ayan, Kaycey, Adeoluwa, Diego, Raynelle and Mya.
Here’s looking forward to next week and more successes!
