ENGAGE Tag Rugby Competition
On Wednesday 13th November, Wyken Croft hosted a Engage girls tag rugby competition against five other primary schools; Grangehurst, St.John Fisher, Stoke Primary, Stoke Heath and Walsgrave. The tag rugby competition consisted of each school playing each other in a 8 minute tag rugby game, each school could also gain extra points in the competition depending on how many tries they scored. All the games were very exciting and highly contested, all the girls tried really hard and showed bravery and courage to make some last ditch tags and some diving tries. Wyken did really well in the competition winning 2 games, drawing 2 games and losing 1 game this resulted in Wyken finishing the competition in third place which is an excellent effort considering the short amount of time the team had been together.
We all had a great time taking part and watching the competition and the competition was brilliantly well run by the Engage staff.
Well done girls!!!
