Midway through the first half Sacred Heart had some good opportunities to score and kept Louie, Arjun and Archie busy in defense and Ryan, who played in goal for the first time for Wyken, made several fantastic saves. Just before the half time whistle Sacred Heart scored as a long range shot took many deflections before falling to the feet of the Sacred Heart player who smashed the ball into the net. 1-0.
