Survival Skills

As a school we have been looking at the book Here We Are by Oliver Jeffers. Part of the book discusses the things that people need to survive and Year 5 spent some time honing their own survival skills!

We used leaves and branches to classify the trees and plants in the school grounds before creating our own water collecting devices and then finally building some dens to provide shelter.

We had so much fun exploring the school’s grounds and thinking about all the things that we need to survive.
